Sending out congratulations to Dana & Erik who were married at Tarrywile Park and Mansion last weekend. Thankfully the weather cooperated and they were able to hold their ceremony under the grape arbor.
My first contact with Dana was when she came in for a tour and brought her father along to see the place and get his approval. Dana and Erik are Tarrywile Park lovers so she thought it would be perfect to get married at the place that they enjoy so much. Dana looked at Dad, Dad asked “is this what you want?” and with a nod of her head it was decided. The minor detail being that we still had to pass the groom’s inspection.
When Dana brought Erik in for “the tour” all I could see was the groom willing to agree to anything to make his bride happy, that’s it, end of story, Manson booked. The next contact I had with Dana was when she stopped by the office and brought her lovely friend Gloria and introduced her as her wedding planner/decorator and wanted to show the spaces she had to work with. As you can see from the photographs below Gloria was amazing. She and Dana had every last detail worked out down to the specialized 45 record picked out special for each guest/couple. I thought that was a beautiful touch.
Erica Keane of Keane Eye Phogography did an amazing job capturing every beautiful detail of Erik and Dana’s love story, from their engagement session to first look/ceremony ending in reception/celebration, their love for each other shone through. The other wedding professionals they chose were Carriage House Events and Catering, Custom Floral Design by Diane Gaudett, Monet Baking Company, James Daniel Entertainment, and All Season Party Rentals. All these vendors worked in sync to give Dana & Erik a day their will never forget.
Erica Keane the photographer summed up Dana and Erik in a blog post;
“Dana and Erik met online and chatted for a month before deciding to meet up in Grand Central Station for their first date. In Dana’s vows, she mentioned how she spotted Erik first and watched him for a minute before introducing herself… and as a wave of emotions came up on her, she almost turned back.
They had their first look on the lawn next to the mansion. Dana’s dress and veil flowed behind her as she approached Erik. When she tapped him on the shoulder to turn around, he had the sweetest reaction. He pulled her in for a kiss and then he brushed her cheek as he looked at Dana in her stunning gown.
Dana & Erik hand wrote the sweetest vows I have ever heard. There was not a dry eye in the house and anyone that has any doubt that these two are not completely meant for each other is so very wrong. They read their vows in Hungarian, a language that Erik’s grandmother hadn’t heard in a very long time. This was a beautiful surprise to her and his family and their reactions were priceless. Family from as far away as California came to support them on their perfectly, perfect wedding day.
No detail was missed in the planning for this wedding between Dana & Erik! Their hand written vows, the tree in the ceremony, the old-fashioned hankie line and perhaps the favorite detail- the 45’s that were sent to guests that had the wedding invitation on them. The best part of this awesome detail? Erik & Dana hand picked each song for their guests. When the guests arrived, they were invited to play their 45 on the record player and find out what song the couple hand picked for them! Definitely a HUGE hit at the wedding and what a sweet personalization to their wedding day!
They were surrounded by their family and friends as they recited their personalized vows under the grape arbor at Tarrywile Mansion. In their ceremony, they also “planted” a tree together (in a pot so they can take it home and complete the process) by adding dirt and watering it. Dana prepared for her wedding day with her mom and Pink Soda Blow Dry Bar. Her flowers were beautiful put together by Diane Gaudette’s team. As their wedding ceremony came to a conclusion, it was followed up with family formals on the law. Dana & Erik’s wedding was catered by Carriage House Events and Catering. The evening carried on with jams played by Paul with James Daniel Entertainment. The rain held off until after everyone was inside enjoying the party!”
I am so happy that they chose Tarrywile Mansion as their venue, I with them both an overabundance of joy in each other and in their marriage. May they have many, many happy years together.
